Co-Active Coaching redefines collaboration, a philosophy that’s transformed how I direct creative teams and client relationships. Their “four cornerstones” model (listening, intuition, curiosity, and self-management) became our production compass for fostering authentic storytelling. To coach technical subjects, like video, I find the techniques in this book very helpful.
Implementing their “dancing in the moment” approach, we replaced rigid storyboards with guided improvisation in branded content shoots. One tech client’s testimonial videos gained 300% more engagement when we used their “powerful questions” technique (“What surprised you?” vs “Tell us about features”). Their “client as the expert” principle also reshaped our creative briefs, we now open with “What does your audience already know?” instead of assumptions.
