Dynamic IP

A dynamic IP (Internet Protocol) address is an IP address that is assigned to a device on a network by a DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol) server. Unlike a static IP address, which remains fixed and doesn’t change, a dynamic IP address is subject to change periodically or each time the device connects to the network.

These addresses are typically leased to devices for a certain duration known as the lease time. After the lease period expires, the device may request a renewal of the lease or be assigned a new IP address, depending on the network configuration.

Dynamic IP addressing is the default method for many internet connections, offering flexibility and efficient use of IP address resources by dynamically allocating and managing addresses across various devices connected to a network.
