Brand Loyalty

Marketing glossary icon

Brand loyalty refers to a customer’s consistent preference for and commitment to a particular brand over time, often leading to repeat purchases and resistance to switching, even when competitors offer similar or better alternatives. It is built through positive experiences, trust, perceived value, and emotional connection with the brand.

Loyal customers are more likely to advocate for the brand, forgive occasional issues, and respond positively to new offerings. Brand loyalty reduces marketing costs, as retaining existing customers is generally more cost-effective than acquiring new ones. It is a key indicator of long-term brand strength and sustainable competitive advantage.
