Internet Glossary icon

A bookmark, also known as a favourite, is a saved link or shortcut to a specific web page or website that allows users to quickly revisit or access that particular webpage in the future without having to search for it again.

Bookmarks are used to save the URL (Uniform Resource Locator) of a webpage that a user finds useful, interesting, or frequently visits. Instead of memorising or manually typing the URL each time, users can save it as a bookmark for easy access. Most web browsers (such as Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Safari, Microsoft Edge, etc.) provide bookmarking functionality as a built-in feature.
